Amhara Region Improved Cook Stove Association is established in 2017 as a sector of non-profit association being operating as professional Association. Thus, Amhara Region Improved Cook Stove Association has a valid certificate of registration issued by the Amhara National Regional State Charities and Societies Registration and Administration Proclamation Number 194/2012. The main objective of the association is to inform the rights and obligations of members who are engaged in the production of various improved energy efficient stoves in the Amhara region. Following the strategy that is relevant to the government; Make them get the benefits they need. The aim is to strengthen the profession and expand the importance it gives to the country. VISION: The Vision of the Association is to be one of stronger renewable Energy profession that Deliver Services to the community In Amhara regional State.

Our Deliverables to the Communities
To Positively impact the health of slum and rural communities by significantly reducing toxic household air pollution (HAP).
To Provide improved, reliable and affordable cook stoves to households at the base of pyramid that save costs on fuel consumption.
To Support women and youth empowerment efforts through skills training and employing them as artisans and agents to market and sell the clean stoves in their communities.

One of biggest problems facing rural households in Amhara region is energy poverty..
Most households in the rural of Amhara region still use traditional means of cooking…kids of majority being girls spend lots of hours in the bushes looking for firewood to use in cooking in these households..This affect their studies at home and in schools
In the bushes,they risk being raped or face threats of abduction.
Improved stoves association of Amhara region work with stove producers,stockists, marketers,fabricators and installers trained to bridge this energy poverty gap..
Installations are done using locally available materials and with local entrepreneurs.
The goal is to ensure every household uses an improved cookstove to reduce indoor ailments associated with smoke which causes death in our households
ARICSA leaves no one behind in ensuring each household is accessed to improved cookstove as a solution to ending energy poverty.
